Innovative Programming to Satisfy Sports Fans Like Never Before
Montreal, Wednesday, March 14, 2018 – Get ready for continuous and innovative sports programming – the likes of which Quebec viewers have never seen before – starting April 9 on TVA Sports 1, 2 & 3. Fans will be closer than ever to the NHL playoffs thanks to original content offered around the clock, bringing viewers to the heart of the action and offering them multiple opportunities to interact live with the station’s hosts.
A TV First: A Morning Sports Talk Show
Starting at 6 a.m., fans can get their NHL fix with an original program that breaks new ground on Quebec TV: an all-sports morning talk show! Hosted by Charles-Antoine Sinotte and Jean-Philippe Bertrand, the show will look back at all the previous day’s games and allow fans to chime in live via call-in phone lines or social networks. On tap: game highlights, coach interviews and locker-room reports from reporters Renaud Lavoie, Marc-André Perreault and Élizabeth Rancourt. The show’s format will reflect the pace and excitement of this final stretch in the NHL season, and also leave room to cover fan favourites like Montreal Impact soccer, as well as boxing, baseball and QMJHL hockey (including the Memorial Cup). The morning talk show will also air live at tvasports.ca and on the TVA Sports mobile app.

Starting at noon, TVA Sports will present a full wrap-up of the latest sports news, including highlights, live reports and the latest scoops.
New Format and Co-hosts for Destination Coupe Stanley
Monday, April 9 also marks the return of Destination Coupe Stanley, an audience favourite that’s being brought back in a revamped format. Co-hosted by Dave Morissette and Frédérique Guay, the show will air weekdays at 5 p.m. and Saturday right before the game. This season’s innovations include new collaborator Kevin Raphaël, bringing a humorous and entertaining flavour to the show, along with lively debates and new segments, giving viewers a chance to reunite with Mike Bossy, Michel Bergeron, José Théodore and many more.
And more than ever, the TVA Sports team will be covering the action where it happens. In Quebec, Andy Mailly-Pressoir will travel from town to town to meet fans and chat with the friends and family members of playoff-bound Quebec players. Our reporters will also hit the road across America to get spontaneous reactions from players, coaches and fans. Plus, viewers will get to see the playoffs and all the sports news from a different angle through fan interactions on various platforms, including social media.
Destination Coupe Stanley will be followed by playoff games on TVA Sports 1, 2 & 3. To make sure the fans don’t miss a single moment of the action, all playoff games will be broadcast from beginning to end – even if the final buzzer comes in the wee hours of the morning. Louis Jean, Félix Séguin, Patrick Lalime, Denis Casavant, Alain Chainey, Sébastien Goulet, Yvon Pedneault, Frédéric Lord, Michel Godbout, Éric Fichaud, Mathieu Dandenault, Pascal Dupuis, Jean-Sébastien Giguère, Dany Dubé and Stéphane Auger will be sharing all the emotions along the road to the Stanley Cup.
