BROOKLYN NINE-NINE TO BE ADAPTED IN QUEBEC
Shooting on the First International Version Starts this Summer in Quebec City
Montreal, May 22, 2019 – Quebecor Content is extremely proud to announce that NBCUniversal International Formats has licensed its hit comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, to be produced by ComediHa! in Quebec City. Winner of several prestigious awards, including two Golden Globes and two Primetime Emmys, the show is a single-camera ensemble comedy about what happens when a talented, but carefree, detective gets a new captain with a lot to prove.
This marks the first international version of the critically-acclaimed series, which was originally created by Emmy award-winning writer/producers Dan Goor and Michael Schur. Produced by Universal Television and in association with Fremulon, Dr. Goor Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment, the show was recently renewed for a second season on NBC, which will mark the seventh season the series has been on the air.
Patrick Huard Directs
After several forays into comedy (Taxi 0-22, Les 3 p’tits cochons, Filière 13), the multitalented Patrick Huard will direct the local version of the sitcom and production is set to start this summer in the Quebec City area.
