Reporter Emmanuelle Martinez-Curvalle Singled Out for Best Fashion & Beauty Article

Montreal, May 1, 2017 – The article La confusion des genres, published in the April 2016 issue of  ELLE Québec, won Best Fashion & Beauty Article at the first-annual Canadian Magazine Awards.

Written by journalist Emmanuelle Martinez-Curvalle (the magazine’s Associate Managing Editor and a contributor since 2011) the article deals with gender identity and the redefining of traditional male/female roles, most notably in the fashion and advertising industries.

“This award reflects our commitment to quality content in all our publications,” says Lyne Robitaille, Vice President & Publisher of TVA Publications and Senior Vice President, Newspapers & Books. “It also demonstrates the power of ELLE Québec, a venerable part of the global fashion authority, which sets style and fashion culture within Quebec and far beyond.”

“As an experienced, accomplished journalist, Emmanuelle Martinez-Curvalle is highly respected and brings fresh, important stories to light,” adds Julie Buchinger, Editor in chief of ELLE Québec. “She always manages to find the most original and relevant angle for every topic she covers.”

Three other magazine brands from TVA Publications were also finalists for these inaugural awards: ELLE Canada for Best Fashion & Beauty Magazine, The Hockey News for Best Niche/Special Interest Magazine and Super Vitalité, Manger santé 7 Jours for best food & beverage Magazine.
