ELLE QUÉBEC AND ELLE CANADA SHINE AT NATIONAL P&G BEAUTY AWARDS
TVA Publications titles win three awards and get short-listed 5 times
Montreal, November 30, 2017 – The TVA Publications magazines ELLE Québec and ELLE Canada scored three wins at the prestigious P&G Beauty Awards, a Canada-wide contest.
ELLE Québec took the honours for Best Feature (French) for Au Maroc, sur la route de l’Argan, published in its June 2017 issue and written by Joanie Petracupa. Aimed at showcasing the Aura Botanica line of hair-care products, the magazine took its readers on a journey through Morocco to learn all about the “green gold” known as argan: its history, contents, applications, etc. The jury was impressed with the richness of the article’s content and the quality of its writing.
ELLE Québec also won the Best Innovation Feature (French) award for Dans la peau des milléniaux, written by Laurence Lévy with photos by Marie-Ève Hébert, published in the magazine’s October 2016 issue. The article dealt with skin problems that are specific to the millennial generation, while also proposing tried-and-tested solutions. The jury singled out the magazine for its innovative approach, which combined insightful advice and exhaustive research to produce a powerful and timely feature.
For its part, ELLE Canada took home the prize for Best Service Editorial (English) for its March 2017 feature Got No Type, a collaborative piece by Victoria DiPlacido, Brian Fleming, Katherine Flemming and Geoffrey Ross. Readers were introduced to new beauty products developed for specific situations in their everyday lives. The jury was won over by the contemporary content, presented with beautiful images.
Other TVA Publications magazines also made their mark. Clin d’œil was short-listed in the Best Beauty Video category, as well as in the Best Service Editorial (French) category for the article 10 façons d’être responsable. ELLE Québec was also among the finalists in that same category, for the article C’est du propre! Finally, Coup de pouce and Clin d’œil were both short-listed for Best Innovation Feature (French) for Qu’est-ce qui se cache dans nos pots? and Adopter les technologies du futur… aujourd’hui, respectively.
